The Greatest Anime of the Philippines: Amazing Video Edit About the People Power Revolution

Today in the country commemorates the 31st anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

The historic revolution that ousted the 20-year rule of the Marcos regime. This 1986 bloodless non-violent revolt was sparked by the assassination of Senator Ninoy Aquino. It was a three-day protest demonstrated by millions of Filipino people that took place at the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, popularly known called today as EDSA.

Also known as the Yellow Revolution, which refers to the presence of many yellow ribbons at that time, the EDSA People Power Revolution restored the democracy in the country – proclaiming the late Cory Aquino as the new President of the Philippines.

Timely published for the EDSA celebration, Joshua Gapaz uploaded an amazing video edit about the dramatic revolution in Anime opening theme style. The video features some of the old pictures of Manila and remarkable clips happened during the 1986 revolt. Moreover, the video includes the introduction of the known personalities involved as if they are Anime characters!
