Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. tests positive for COVID-19

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. announced he tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on his Facebook page, Sun August 9.

“Nakakalungkot po na balita – I am COVID-19 positive.”, the senator announced.

Sen. Revilla shared that his family including mayor of Bacoor, Cavite his wife, Lani Mercado were tested negative. “Pero huwag po kayo mag-alala, I am okay. Sila Lani at ang mga bata ay okay rin at sa awa ng Diyos, ay negative naman lahat”, he wrote.

He explained that they did test and isolate themselves after they found out that one of the household members tested positive. “Kami ay nagpatest at nag-isolate agad matapos may mag-positive sa aming household at isa sa aking mga tauhan.”, he added.

“I was last in the Senate on Monday before all of this, and was last out on Tuesday nung 40th day ni Daddy.”, he explained.

He will follow his doctor’s advice to continue his self-quarantine. “Sa payo po ng aking doktor ay itutuloy ko ngayon ang aking quarantine, but will be under observation.”

With the help of prayers and God’s grace, he will get through this test in life. “Kasama ang inyong mga dasal, at sa grasya ng Panginoon, makakaraos at malalampasan din natin ito.”

“Ngayon pa lang, salamat po sa inyong mga panalangin. Thank you for your prayers.”, Sen. Revilla extending his gratitude and appreciation for the prayers.
