A frustrated netizen surprised over a fried chicken in a meal she ordered but turned out to be a deep-fried towel coated in a breading mix.

Alique Perez shared she ordered the meal to Jollibee- Bonifacio Global City Stopover Taguig, Metro Manila branch via the GrabFood delivery app.

“Ordered chicken for my son, while I was trying to get him a bite, I found it super hard to even slice. Tried opening it up with my hands and to my surprise a deep-fried towel.”, Perez wrote on a now-viral Facebook post.

Perez added in the post that she thought at first complaining about weird stuff in orders was just all made up, but because of what happened, she now knows that it really happen.

“Worst experience ever had Jollibee delivered, mukha siyang chicken di ba? Tigas eh. Gulat ako. It’s not chicken, it’s a towel”, Perez shared her dismay in a short video.

Moreover, Perez also shared her concern for other customers who bought the other chickens cooked in the same fryer with the deep-fried towel.

“Ano pa kaya kasabay ng mga chickenjoy natin? You may get your chickenjoy pero baka may kasabay nang towel. The essence of the towel contaminated the oil and the batter from the supplier so how many chickenjoys are affected? We won’t know…” she said.

Jollibee Food Corporation, the Philippines’ largest fast-food restaurant chain hasn’t yet released its official statement about the incident, as of this writing.
