TV host and athlete Gretchen Ho donated a bicycle to a 12th Grader boy who went viral due to an uncommon style of food delivery.
Through rollerblades, Kean Arcilla Ramos carries orders for coffee and chocolate jelly in 1-2 kilometers from their house.
Gretchen Ho tagged about the viral photo of the 18-year-old young rollerblader. After she found out, she went to Ramos’ place and gave the bicycle. He is the first recipient of Donate a Bike, Save a Job project by #WomaninAction TV host.
In the video interview, it was found out that Ramos is not delivering for Grab Food app but for a business he just started. He borrowed the delivery bag and uniform from his father, who was taking medication, three weeks ago. He used rollerblades as his way of delivering to his customers.
For 500 pesos, Ramos bought ingredients for his coffee and chocolate jelly business, and borrowed 300 pesos to his dad for bottles. Having a bicycle, he is more inspired by what he was doing. Moreover, it is safer and he’ll be able to cater and deliver more orders.
Gretchen Ho was glad after seeing a picture sent to her by a frontliner this Sunday. Ramos handed out donated drinks to the medical frontliners and Grab delivery men! On her page, Gretchen shared the photos and called what Ramos did “Paying it Forward”.
“Tuwang-tuwa ako nang makita ko ang mga larawang ito! Actually, ang nagshare sa’kin ay yung isa sa mga medical frontliner na nakatanggap ng donated drinks mula kay Kean Arcilla Ramos.”, she wrote.
“Naalala ko sinabi niya P500 lang pera niya pero look at how he shares his blessings … Galing mo talaga boi!”, she added.
