Catriona Gray has auctioned off one of the memorable items she used at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. This is for a cause to help raise funds for the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) mass testing project in the Philippines.
Posted on her Instagram Stories, Catriona Gray joined Shop & Share Store, an online auction campaign organized by Kapamilya celebrities founded by Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis. This year, they’re joined by co-celebrity friends, Bea Alonzo and Dimples Romana.
“My MU candidate pin that I wore in the prelims of Miss Universe means so much to me, but I’ve decided to dedicate to a cause,” she captioned on her IG story.
“It’s currently up for auction. All proceeds going towards aiding the government’s efforts to provide mass testing,” she added.
The initial price for former Miss Universe’s pin at the Shop & Share shop is P20,000. As of this writing, the latest bid is at P150,000. The bidding will be closed at 9 a.m. on June 11, Thursday.
The following are the description posted on Shop & Share: “In December 2018 in Bangkok Thailand, Miss Universe Philippines, Catriona Gray debuted the “slow-mo turn” and Ibong Adarna gown. The Philippines sash was secured over her heart with this pin.”
“Of very high sentimental value, Catriona wants to share its significance to another, to benefit her countrymen just as she dedicates her title of Miss Universe.
A personal, handwritten note on the Official Miss Universe 2018 Comp-Card will also accompany the pin.”
Catriona Gray also auctioned off her preloved Karen Millen Embellished Heels. Her fellow Kapamilya celebrities Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Kathryn Bernardo, Zsa-Zsa Padilla, Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon, and Tony Labrusca also have active auction projects in the Shop & Share website. The said auction campaign one of the founders, Angel Locsin, exclusively listed her 2015 Dodge Durango Limited Full-Size SUV.
